Why Choose LGBT LAwyers?
Who Are LGBT Lawyers?
LGBT Lawyers connects LGBT people with regulated LGBT solicitors who come from similar backgrounds.
We don’t exclusively deal with LGBT legal issues. Instead, we want LGBT people to feel comfortable speaking to an LGBT solicitor and remove any barriers of attitude and judgement, allowing clients to speak to their solicitor with the same ease and openness as you would a friend or family member.
Of course, if your matter is LGBT-focused, we are more than happy to help.
At our core, we are a team of professionals who work in the legal industry, whose goal is to ensure the LGBT community can receive the same high standard of legal services that everyone else enjoys.
LGBT Lawyers cannot and does not provide legal advice itself.
How Do We Work?
All you need to do is give us a few details about your legal issue, and we’ll put you in touch with an LGBT solicitor.
Once we have your case details, we will set up an initial consultation on your behalf with an LGBT solicitor from our network.
We work closely with our network of LGBT solicitors to ensure you are matched with an experienced, regulated solicitor who can do your case justice.
All payments are made directly to whichever partner firm you are matched with for your security.
Our Partner Law Firms
All of LGBT Lawyers’ partner firms are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as standard.
We currently have one legal partner which is Britton and Time Solicitors, based in Brighton.
While it may not always be possible to connect clients to a solicitor from the LGBT community, we ensure that all the solicitors we refer clients onto are either from an LGBT background themselves, or work in environments that embrace the LGBT community.
We are always looking for more LGBT Lawyers to join and expand our network of partner offices and services.
If you are interested in becoming part of the LGBT Lawyer network, please visit our sign up page.
Legal Aid, Pro Bono and No Win No Fee
We do not currently have a partner law firm who possess a legal aid certificate and are therefore unable to arrange consultations for clients who require this.
We are happy to discuss the possibility of taking on pro bono cases with our partner LGBT solicitors on your behalf. However, our experience is that pro bono work is rarely offered.
Similarly, we deal with no win, no fee, or conditional fee agreements on a case by case basis. We will liaise with our partner LGBT solicitors and let you know whether this is an option.
Can I Go To An LGBT Lawyers Partner Firm Directly?
Absolutely! We don’t receive any commission for the consultations we set up.
Our goal is to ensure that the LGBT community is able to get in touch with a solicitor they feel comfortable talking to.
We work closely with our partner law firms to ensure any enquiries that arrive on our doorstep are matched with a solicitor who can offer you the best chances of success.
